🔼 Doing It All. Virginia men’s lacrosse goalie Matthew Nunes recorded 16 saves and scored the game-winning goal against No. 16 Harvard over the weekend. Yup, you read that right!

The No. 2 Hoos trailed by as many as five goals in the third quarter, but scored the final seven goals of the game in a 13-10 win. Payton Cormier led the way offensively with a game-high four goals and an assist.

🔼 All-Americans. Virginia men’s swimming and diving finished up competition at the NCAA Championships by crowning a pair of All-Americans on the final day — Noah Nichols and Matt Brownstead both placed sixth in their respective events to earn All-American status.

The Hoos placed 17th as a team, their fifth consecutive season finishing in the top-20.

🔼 Streak Grows. Virginia softball kept on rolling this past weekend, taking a pair of games from Villanova to stretch its win streak to five games and move its overall record to 24-10.

The Hoos and Wildcats were tied at 1-1 after seven innings in Saturday’s series finale, before Virginia exploded for four runs in the eighth to complete the two-game sweep.

🔼 Still Perfect. No. 6 Virginia women’s tennis was pushed by Wake Forest over the weekend but in the end the result was the same as all the others so far in ACC play — the Hoos picked up a win, 4-3, to move to 9-0 in conference action.

Virginia picked up the doubles point against the Demon Deacons, and received singles wins from Natasha Subhash, Elaine Chervinsky and Melodie Collard.

🔼 Records Broken. All sorts of Virginia track and field school records were broken over the weekend!

Will Anthony set the Virginia men’s record in the 10,000m in 28:21.93 on Thursday, along with Gary Martin setting the men’s 5,000m record in 13:31.51. On Friday, Margot Appleton set the women’s 5,000m record in 15:18.21, and Jenny Schilling broke the 10,000m record with a time of 32:44.19.

🔼 Downed By Duke. After splitting the first two games against No. 11 Duke, No. 9 Virginia baseball fell in the series finale on Saturday, 7-3.

Griff O’Ferrall had a pair of hits and drove in three runs in Friday’s win for the Hoos, and added another two hits and two runs scored in Saturday’s series finale.

🔼 Durham Blues. No. 8 Virginia women’s lacrosse fell for the first time on the road this season, dropping a 15-10 decision at Duke on Saturday afternoon.

Kiki Shaw scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Hoos offensively, while Kate Galica, Mackenzie Hoeg and Jenna Dinardo all scored twice.

🔼 And They’re Off. No. 11 Virginia women’s rowing began its season by winning five of 10 races at the B1G-ACC Saturday at Griggs Reservoir in Columbus, Ohio.
