🔼 Clash Control. No. 9 Virginia women’s lacrosse closed out its regular season with a win on Wednesday, beating Virginia Tech, 19-9, in the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash.

Madison Alaimo led the Hoos with six points, each on an assist. Jenna DiNardo (three goals, one assist) and Addi Foster (four goals) each had four points. Virginia finishes its schedule at 11-5 overall and 5-4 in ACC play.

🔼 Good First Day. Virginia women’s golf sits in third place after two rounds of play at the ACC Championship in Greensboro, N.C., shooting a combined 1-under as a team.

Amanda Sambach shot rounds of 1-under and 4-under to lead the Hoos, and is in a tie for fourth place heading into the second day of competition.

🔼 Last Home Series. No. 25 Virginia softball plays its final ACC home series this weekend, welcoming Louisville to Grounds beginning today at 5 p.m.

With six conference games remaining — three against Louisville (5-10 ACC) and three against Stanford (9-6 ACC) — the Hoos are currently in fifth place in the ACC standings at 11-7.

🔼 Seminole Series. Virginia baseball travels to Tallahassee, Fla., with a chance for a marquee series win this weekend, playing a three-game set against No. 7 Florida State.

The Seminoles are 29-7 this season and 11-4 in ACC play, with a 19-4 record at home.

🔼 ACC Action. Fifth-seeded Virginia men’s tennis kicks off its ACC Championship run today, playing No. 13 seed SMU at 3:30 p.m. in Cary, N.C.

The Mustangs beat No. 12 seed Virginia Tech on Wednesday to advance to their second-round matchup with the Hoos. Virginia beat SMU, 4-1, back on March 16 in Dallas.
