🔼 Almost Game Day! Football is back at Scott Stadium tomorrow, with Virginia football hosting its spring game at noon!

The annual event will conclude a spring schedule that featured the 15 practices allowable by the NCAA.

Fans who attend the spring game will receive free admission to UVA’s baseball (4 p.m.) and softball (2 p.m.) games scheduled for later that day as inventory allows. To take advantage of this offer, fans will use a digital code/web link provided at Scott Stadium that will be redeemable for contests at Disharoon/Palmer Park.

🔼 Rivalry Sweep. No. 7 Virginia women’s tennis closed out its regular season on Thursday, earning a 4-0 rivalry win over Virginia Tech as part of the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash.

Sara Ziodato, Elaine Chervinsky and Melodie Collard all won singles matches for the Hoos, who now have a 29-match win streak over the Hokies.

🔼 Rivalry Match. No. 6 Virginia men’s tennis closes out its regular season today, welcoming Virginia Tech at 4 p.m. for a Smithfield Commonwealth Clash match.

The Hokies are 10-13 overall this season and 2-10 in ACC action.

🔼 Back On Grounds. As a University of Virginia School of Law student, Griff Aldrich often could be found playing hoops at North Grounds Recreation Center when he wasn’t in class or studying.

Another spot he frequented was University Hall, then the home of Cavalier basketball. Aldrich and his law school buddies typically would enter the arena after UVA men’s games had started, with a definite plan of attack.

🔼 Home Field Advantage. Virginia baseball is back home this weekend, welcoming Pitt to the Dish for three games beginning today at 6 p.m.

The Panthers are 17-14 so far this season and 4-8 in conference play, dropping two-of-three games at home to Miami last weekend.

🔼 Orange Arrival. Virginia softball plays its first ACC home series in three weeks this weekend, hosting Syracuse for three games at Palmer Park.

The Orange are 22-16 this season and 3-12 in ACC play.

🔼 One More For The Road. Virginia men’s lacrosse plays its final road game of the regular season this weekend, traveling to the state of Indiana for a matchup with No. 9 Notre Dame tomorrow at 5 p.m.

The Irish are 5-3 this season, losing 14-9 to Syracuse last Saturday.

🔼 Road Test. No. 11 Virginia women’s lacrosse plays its second consecutive top-10 opponent tomorrow, traveling to Newton, Mass., to play No. 2 Boston College in the team’s final road game of the regular season.

The Eagles are 13-1 this season, their lone loss coming last time out against then-No. 2 North Carolina, 12-11, in Chapel Hill.

🔼 Back-To-Back. For the second consecutive season, Virginia women’s swimming’s Gretchen Walsh and Todd DeSorbo have claimed ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Year and Women’s Swim Coach of the Year, respectively!

🔼 Day 1 Down. The weekend started early for Virginia track and field on Thursday, with athletes competing at both the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C., and the Carl Kight Invitational in Nacogdoches, Texas.
