🔼 New Beginning! No. 11 Virginia women’s lacrosse snapped a 15-game losing streak to Maryland on Wednesday, beating the No. 9 Terrapins, 13-9, at Yeardley Field at Notre Dame Preparatory School in Towson, Md.

Jenna DiNardo scored four goals to lead the Cavaliers, while Kate Galica and Addi Foster each had four points with three goals and an assist apiece.

The game was played at Yeardley Love Field, named after the former women’s lacrosse player. Love, who passed away in 2010, was an alumna of Notre Dame Preparatory School. The game benefitted the One Love Foundation, a national non-profit with the goal of ending relationship abuse, which was created in her honor.

🔼 Tennis Court Clash. No. 7 Virginia women’s tennis closes out the regular season today, hosting Virginia Tech at 4 p.m. for a Smithfield Commonwealth Clash matchup.

The Hokies are 13-10 overall this season and 2-9 in ACC play, but are winners of two straight heading into today’s match.
