🔼 Stunner At JPJ. Nearly 12,000 fans witnessed an instant classic between Virginia and No. 5 Virginia Tech women’s basketball Sunday evening inside JPJ, and when the final buzzer went off, the Hoos had pulled off a stunning 80-75 upset!

The Smithfield Commonwealth Clash featured 11 lead changes, 10 ties, and neither team ever led by more than six points.

Kymora Johnson was the catalyst for Virginia, scoring 21 points and dishing out eight assists. Camryn Taylor (17 points) and Paris Clark (16) also scored in double figures.

🔼 Series Dub. No. 13 Virginia baseball took down UMass 10-6 on Sunday in the rubber match of the series to improve to 10-1 on the season.

Jay Woolfolk tossed six innings of one-run ball, and Henry Godbout and Henry Ford both drove in three runs in the deciding game of the series.

Virginia walked it off in the 10th inning of Game 1 of the series, and fell 10-5 in Game 2.

🔼 Got It Done. No. 8 Virginia men’s tennis did what it does best over the weekend — take down a top-ranked team in its 4-3 win over No. 3 Wake Forest!

And for an encore, the Hoos decided to take down another ranked team on Sunday, this time No. 22 NC State by the same 4-3 final score.

🔼 Win In Tiger Town. No. 14 Virginia women’s lacrosse stuffed the stat sheet in its ACC road opener over the weekend at No. 18 Clemson, taking down the Tigers 18-12.

Katia Carnevale, Mackenzie Hoeg, Kate Galica and Kate Miller all recorded hat tricks for the Hoos, while Morgan Schwab registered five points thanks to four assists and one goal.

🔼 Starting On The Right Foot. Virginia softball won its first ACC series of the season over the weekend, taking two-of-three from Boston College in Charlottesville.

After trading wins on Friday and Saturday, the Hoos won the deciding game 1-0 thanks to a brilliant outing from Eden Bigham, who allowed just four hits and one walk in seven innings.

🔼 Sweet Sweep. No. 5 Virginia women’s tennis improved to 4-0 in ACC action this weekend with a pair of convincing wins over Georgia Tech and Clemson.

The Hoos took down the Yellow Jackets, 5-2, in Atlanta on Friday before traveling to Clemson and sweeping the Tigers, 4-0.

🔼 Golf In The Desert. No. 24 Virginia women’s golf kicks off Spring Break with a trip to Las Vegas, starting play Monday at The Show at Spanish Trail Country Club as part of a 13-team field.

🔼 Tale Of Two Halves. No. 2 Virginia men’s lacrosse led No. 7 Johns Hopkins 10-8 at halftime on Saturday, but an 8-4 advantage for the Blue Jays in the second half gave them a 16-14 victory over the Hoos.

Connor Shellenberger led all players with six points, scoring four goals and handing out two assists.

🔼 Work To Do. With its lopsided loss at No. 10 Duke over the weekend, Virginia men’s basketball’s regular season finale at home versus Georgia Tech next Saturday now takes on even more importance.
