Virginia men's hoops closed out its home slate in style on Saturday.

🔼 Beekman’s The Man. In more ways than one, Virginia men’s basketball’s Senior Night victory over Georgia Tech belonged to Reece Beekman, one of the most well-rounded players in program history.

🔼 Down Goes Notre Dame. No. 13 Virginia women’s lacrosse picked up its signature win to this point of its season over the weekend, traveling to Notre Dame and beating the No. 4 Irish, 12-10.

Morgan Schwab was once again terrific for the Hoos, scoring twice and serving four assists, while Jenna Dinardo recorded her second consecutive hat trick.

🔼 Fast Times. Virginia track and field performed extremely well at the NCAA Indoor Championships over the weekend, piling up All-American honors.

The men’s distance medley relay team of Wes Porter, Alex Sherman, Alex Leath and Yasin Sado finished third overall in 9:27.18 to earn All-American status on Friday, while Margot Appleton and Gary Martin were both crowned All-Americans in their mile races.

🔼 Coming Home Happy. No. 6 Virginia men’s lacrosse used a lopsided third quarter to pull away from Towson on Saturday, winning 19-15 to improve to 5-1 on the season.

Connor Shellenberger owned the highlight of the match, dishing out seven assists to set the all-time program record.

🔼 Sweep Down South. No. 3 Virginia men’s tennis enjoyed a 2-0 weekend on the road, taking down North Carolina and No. 15 Duke to improve to 12-4 on the season.

The Hoos beat the Tar Heels 4-2 on Friday before taking down the Blue Devils 6-1 on Sunday afternoon.

🔼 One Up. Virginia softball took down North Carolina in Game 1 of its series in Chapel Hill over the weekend, before falling to the Tar Heels in Games 2 and 3.

Eden Bigham was terrific in Game 1, tossing all seven innings and allowing just three hits while striking out six. Bella Cabral had two RBI out of the two-hole to lead the Hoos on offense.

🔼 Hamilton Leads The Hoos. Virginia wrestler Nick Hamilton claimed the 165-pound title at the ACC Championships over the weekend on his way to being named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the event, and the Hoos finished fifth as a team.

🔼 Leaving With A Win. No. 13 Virginia baseball grabbed a 14-11 win at Miami on Sunday, salvaging the final game of the series after dropping the first two.

Casey Saucke went 4-for-5 on Sunday with three RBI and three runs scored, while Griff O’Ferrall and Ethan Anderson both added three hits.

🔼 Three To Get. No. 13 Virginia men’s golf sits in fourth place at The Hayt Collegiate at Sawgrass Country Club after two days, with one day remaining to chase down the top three teams on the leaderboard.

Deven Patel led the Hoos on Sunday was a 4-under 68, and sits in sixth place heading into Monday’s round.
