🔼 Strong Finish! No. 13 Virginia men’s basketball closed out the regular season in style on Saturday inside John Paul Jones Arena, avenging a New Year’s Eve loss to Virginia Tech with a 76-72 victory over the Hokies to finish at 27-4 overall and 15-3 in ACC play!

Next up is the ACC Tournament this week in Charlotte, where the Hoos have earned a double-bye as the No. 2 seed.

🔼 Win The Weekend! Virginia softball opened ACC play at North Carolina over the weekend, taking two-of-three games against the Tar Heels to claim the series!

The Hoos beat the Tar Heels in extra innings in the third game of the series on Saturday, with Alex Call’s three-run home run in the eighth inning serving as the big blow.

🔼 Top-10 Takedown! Virginia baseball won its ACC-opening series at No. 8 North Carolina over the weekend, taking Game 1 on Friday and Game 2 on Saturday to clinch the victory over the Tar Heels!

With the series win, Virginia has won back-to-back series at North Carolina dating back to the 2023 season. In each series, the Tar Heels were ranked in the top 10.

🔼 Historic Hoo! No. 20 Virginia women’s lacrosse improved to 3-1 in ACC play on Sunday, beating Florida State in Tallahassee, 15-7!

Kate Galica made history against the Seminoles, becoming the program’s all-time leader in draws while also collecting a hat trick. Gabby LaVerghetta and Fiona Allen each also logged hat tricks, the first of their careers.

🔼 Swingin’ It Down South. Both Virginia men’s and women’s golf played in Florida over the weekend, with the men tied for 11th place at The Hayt at Sawgrass Country Club entering Monday’s final round and the women finishing as runners-up at the Gators Invitational in Gainesville.

🔼 West Coast Winners! No. 3 Virginia men’s tennis won a pair of matches out in California over the weekend, beating No. 48 Cal on Friday, 4-1, and No. 21 Stanford via sweep on Sunday, 4-0.

The Hoos are now 4-0 in ACC action this spring.

🔼 Topped By Towson. No. 17 Virginia men’s lacrosse fell to Towson on Saturday, 13-9, breaking a 15-game win streak against the Tigers that dated back to 2001.

Virginia was led Truitt Sunderland, who finished with three goals – to notch his 10th career hat trick – and an assist. For the sixth consecutive game, McCabe Millon (1g, 4a) finished with at least five points.

🔼 NCAAs Up Next. Virginia wrestling had three wrestlers qualify for the NCAA Championships over the weekend at the ACC Championships!

Brenan Morgan (heavyweight), Colton Washleski (157 pounds) and Gable Porter (141 pounds) are each headed to Cleveland later this month to represent the Hoos on the national stage.
