Virginia swept No. 20 Stanford over the weekend!

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Milestone Weekend. Virginia baseball got back on track in a big way over the weekend, sweeping No. 20 Stanford and handing head coach Brian O’Connor his 900th career win with a walk-off victory on Saturday!

Down to the final out in the bottom of the 10th, Aidan Teel doubled to right field, scoring James Nunnallee all the way from first base to give Virginia its third comeback victory of the series and 10th of the season.

🔼 Fast Finish. No. 22 Virginia men’s swimming and diving closed out the NCAA Championships on Saturday, with the 400 Free relay team of Jack Aikins, Sebastien Sergile Connor Boyle and Spencer Nicholas earning All-American honors in the event.

Virginia finishes with 14 points, tying for 32nd place in the team standings with Auburn. Texas won the title (490) with Cal finishing second (471) and Indiana third (459).

🔼 On The Leaderboard. No. 13 Virginia women’s golf finished second at the Chattanooga Classic over the weekend behind strong performances from Jaclyn LaHa and Megan Propeck.

LaHa tied for second individually at 3-over, while Propeck shot a final-round 7-under on her way to setting an Honors Course record.

🔼 Rare Air. Virginia track and field’s Margot Appleton put herself among elite company over the weekend at the Raleigh Relays, running the fourth-fastest outdoor 1500-meter time in NCAA history, crossing the line in a blistering 4:05.68.

🔼 Sunday Bounce Back. No. 22 Virginia softball earned a win in the series finale against Notre Dame on Sunday, 6-4, in extra innings.

Jade Hylton’s 10th inning two-run home run proved to be the difference for the Hoos, who improved to 25-10 overall and 7-5 in ACC play with the win.

🔼 Win And Win. No. 5 Virginia women’s tennis won another pair of ACC matches this weekend, taking down both Louisville and Notre Dame by 4-1 final scores.

The Hoos are now 15-4 on the season and 7-2 in ACC play.

🔼 Two-In-One. No. 5 Virginia men’s tennis also picked up a pair of wins this weekend — 4-3 over Notre Dame in Indiana on Friday and 4-1 over Louisville in Kentucky on Sunday.

🔼 Off And Rowing. Virginia rowing got its season started in Columbus, Ohio, over the weekend, winning five races at the B1G-ACC Dual at Griggs Reservoir.

🔼 Close To A Comeback. No. 11 Virginia women’s lacrosse fell at No. 8 Syracuse on Saturday, 13-12.

The Hoos entered the fourth quarter down by four goals and eventually tied the game at 12-12, but could not find the game-winner. Kate Galica and Jenna DiNardo each scored three goals for Virginia.

🔼 Tale Of Two Halves. Virginia men’s lacrosse scored five of the first six goals against No. 8 Syracuse on Saturday, but couldn’t hold off a second-half surge from the Orange in a 12-10 loss at Klöckner Stadium.
