🔼 Six Straight! Virginia women’s swimming and diving has won the 2026 NCAA championship once again!
It was the sixth-straight year that the Cavaliers have won the team title, making them the first team ever to win six consecutive NCAA Championships in women’s swimming and diving!

🔼 Special Season. For Virginia men’s basketball, a wildly successful season ended sooner than it hoped. In the NCAA tournament’s second round, UVA lost 79-72 to Tennessee in a fiercely contested game Sunday night at Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Third-seeded Virginia finished its first season under head coach Ryan Odom with a 30-6 record. The Wahoos were looking to reach the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2019, when they went on to win the NCAA title.

🔼 Still Alive! No. 10 seed Virginia women’s basketball tips off in the NCAA Round of 32 today against No. 2 seed Iowa, after the Hoos took down No. 7 seed Georgia in overtime over the weekend in Iowa City, 82-72!
Kymora Johnson and Sa’Myah Smith became the first Virginia duo to score 20 points apiece in an NCAA Tournament game since 1992 against the Bulldogs to lock in the NCAA Second Round matchup with the hosting Hawkeyes today at 2 p.m. on ESPN.

🔼 Series Secured. No. 9 Virginia baseball hosted No. 24 Wake Forest in a Top 25 series at the Dish over the weekend, winning two-of-three games against the Demon Deacons to reach the 20-win mark!
The Hoos scored a combined 24 runs in their two wins against Wake Forest.

🔼 Doubleheader Domination. No. 14 Virginia softball won its ACC series at Syracuse over the weekend, winning both ends of a Saturday doubleheader while outscoring the Orange, 16-5.
The Hoos and Orange were scheduled to complete the three-game series on Sunday, but weather canceled those plans.

🔼 Second Half Surge. Virginia men’s lacrosse won its fourth game of the season over the weekend, scoring 11 second-half goals in a 16-11 win over Utah at Scott Stadium.
Jake Marek finished with a season-high 14 saves, while McCabe Millon and Ryan Colsey led the offense with five and four points, respectively.

🔼 Defensive Struggle. No. 19 Virginia women’s lacrosse dropped a low-scoring game to No 10 Syracuse on Saturday at Scott Stadium, 6-5.
Among those in attendance were more than 300 UVA women’s lacrosse alumnae and their families, who gathered to celebrate the program’s 50th anniversary. Since the Cavaliers’ first game on March 19, 1976, Virginia has earned 694 victories, three NCAA titles, five ACC Championships, and made 14 Final Four appearances.

🔼 Split Serve. No. 1 Virginia men’s tennis split a pair of ranked conference matchups over the weekend, beating No. 21 NC State on Friday, 4-1, before falling to No. 4 Wake Forest on Sunday, 4-2.

🔼 Double Dip. No. 15 Virginia women’s tennis improved to 6-0 in ACC play over the weekend, beating Florida State on Friday, 4-0, and No. 30 Miami on Sunday, 4-1!

🔼 Wrapped On The Mat. Virginia wrestling closed out its NCAA Championship run on Friday, with Gable Porter bowing out with a loss in the consolation brackets.
