🔼 Commonwealth Battle. Virginia baseball swept VCU over the weekend, twice winning at home and once on the road, to improve to 10-1 on the season!

AJ Gracia homered in the first inning in both Saturday’s and Sunday’s game, and now has six home runs on the season.

🔼 Still Streaking! No. 18 Virginia softball extended its win streak to 19 games over the weekend at the Party at Palmer Invitational, winning against Michigan and Bucknell on both Friday and Sunday and against Villanova on Saturday!

🔼 Finish Line! Virginia track and field closed competition at the ACC Indoor Championships on Saturday, with the men earning a third-place finish and the women finishing eighth!

Gary Martin won gold once again in the men’s 3,000 meters on Saturday, finishing in 7:43.18.

🔼 Downed By Duke. No. 11 Virginia men’s basketball dropped a matchup between the top-two teams in the ACC at No. 1 Duke on Saturday, 77-51.

Thijs De Ridder was the lone Hoo in double figures, scoring 16 points against the Blue Devils at Cameron Indoor.

🔼 Tournament Time. Virginia women’s basketball erased a 23-point deficit to take a lead against Virginia Tech on Sunday with 24 seconds left, but ultimately fell to the Hokies in the regular season finale, 83-82.

Kymora Johnson scored 26 points to lead the Hoos, 25 of which came in the second half.

🔼 Seeing Red. No. 21 Virginia women’s lacrosse suffered a 16-8 loss to No. 2 Stanford at Klöckner Stadium on Saturday.

Addi Foster and Cady Flaherty both scored two goals for the Hoos against the Cardinal.

🔼 Close Call. No. 13 Virginia men’s lacrosse lost to No. 16 Johns Hopkins in a Doyle Smith Cup matchup on Saturday, with the Blue Jays scoring 10 of the game’s final 12 goals in a 14-13 comeback win over the Hoos.

Ryan Colsey led the way with three goals and two assists for Virginia.

🔼 Double Dip. No. 2 Virginia men’s tennis kicked off ACC play with a pair of wins over the weekend, sweeping Boston College on Friday, 7-0, before taking down No. 38 SMU on Sunday, 4-2.

Dylan Dietrich topped No. 1 Trevor Svajda in three sets on the match’s top court in Sunday’s win over the Mustangs.

No. 1 Virginia Men’s Golf Holds Round One Lead At Southern Highlands. No. 1 Virginia combined to a shoot a 11-under, 277 on Sunday (March 1) and is in first place after round one of the Southern Highlands Collegiate. Graduate student Paul Chang shot a 66 to match a career best and sits atop the individual leaderboard.
