🔼 Tournament Tipoff! Virginia women’s basketball kicks off its NCAA Tournament run today, tipping off against fellow No. 10 seed Arizona State at 9 p.m. in a First Four game in Iowa City, Iowa!
The Sun Devils are 24-10 overall this season, went 9-9 during regular season Big 12 action, and won two games at the Big 12 Tournament.

🔼 Onto The Next One! As he proudly watched nearly 20 of his former players work out for NFL scouts in the George Welsh Indoor Practice Facility on Tuesday, University of Virginia head coach Tony Elliott was reminded how much talent his program lost after last season.
“We had Pro Day today, and it was awesome to the see the turnout and the number of guys participate,” Elliott said Tuesday night at the Hardie Center, “but also we watched a lot of leadership walk out.”

🔼 Hot Start! Virginia women’s swimming won two relays on the opening night of the NCAA Championships on Wednesday, claiming gold in both the 200 Medley and 800 Free Relay!
Virginia sits in first place heading into the second day of the competition.

🔼 Right Away! No. 9 Virginia baseball scored seven runs in the first inning on Wednesday at Liberty, eventually beating the Flames, 14-12!
The offensive trio of Jake Weatherspoon, Harrison Didawick and Eric Becker combined for six of UVA’s nine hits on the day and drove in nine runs. In his first start in over two years, Matt Augustin picked up the win for the Cavaliers on Wednesday.

🔼 Cleveland Conclusion! Virginia wrestling is in Cleveland, Ohio this week to compete at the NCAA Championships!
The Hoos will be represented by a trio of wrestlers in Cleveland — Gable Porter (141 pounds), Colton Washleski (157 pounds) and Brenan Morgan (285 pounds).

🔼 Best For Last. No. 2 Virginia men’s golf made a jump up the leaderboard in the final round of play at the Pauma Valley Invitational on Wednesday, shooting 10-under as a team to finish in sixth place.
Ben James was UVA’s top finisher in the individual leaderboard at six-under, securing his seventh top-five finish in seven starts this season.

Virginia Women’s Basketball Earns At-Large Bid To NCAA Tournament. The Cavaliers will be a No. 10 seed and take on No. 10 seed Arizona State (24-10) in a First Four matchup on Thursday, (March 19) at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa.
