🔼 Lots Of Long Balls. No. 23 Virginia softball picked up a ranked rivalry win on Sunday over No. 17 Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, 9-2.
The Hoos hit four home runs against the Hokies — Sydney Hartgrove hit two, and Sarah Coon and M.C. Eaton both hit one.

🔼 ACC Champ! Virginia wrestling’s Dylan Cedeno won an ACC title on Sunday night in Durham, N.C., taking home gold at 141 pounds at the ACC Championships!
Nick Hamilton (165 pounds) and Keyveon Roller (125 pounds) each had impressive showings as well, finishing second and third in their weight classes, respectively.

🔼 Win Down South. Virginia men’s lacrosse picked up its third win of the season on Saturday, beating Towson 11-6 in Houston, with Texas natives Matthew Nunes and Thomas Mencke contributing heavily — Nunes tallied 15 saves in his first start of the season, while Mencke recorded career highs in goals (three) and points (four).

🔼 ACC Action. No. 9 Virginia baseball opened ACC play this weekend at the Dish, dropping two-of-three games to Boston College.
The Hoos exploded in Game 2 of the series, scoring 22 runs in their lone win of the weekend. Chris Arroyo drove in six runs on five hits in the game, while also scoring four runs.

🔼 New Season. Virginia men’s basketball fell in its regular season finale at Syracuse on Saturday, 84-70.
Jacob Cofie led the Hoos with 13 points on 6-of-6 shooting, followed by Dai Dai Ames with 10 points.
Virginia will be the No. 9 seed and play No. 8 seed Georgia Tech in the second round of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday, March 12. Tipoff at the Spectrum Center is set for Noon on ESPN.

🔼 Split ‘Em. No. 2 Virginia women’s tennis split a pair of conference matchups on the road this weekend, winning 4-1 at Wake Forest on Friday before dropping a 4-2 contest at No. 12 NC State on Sunday.

🔼 Top-10 Matches. No. 5 Virginia men’s tennis had the task of playing a pair of top-10 opponents in Charlottesville over the weekend, falling 4-3 to No. 6 NC State on Friday and 4-1 to No. 1 Wake Forest on Sunday.

🔼 Tripped By The Heels. No. 14 Virginia women’s lacrosse fell on the road at No. 2 North Carolina on Saturday, 20-8.
Madison Alaimo led the way with four points (3 goals, 1 assist). Kate Galica and Addi Foster also had multi-point efforts.
