📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Caged Tigers. Those early-season road woes for Virginia men’s basketball are starting to feel like a long time ago — the Hoos picked up another road win over the weekend at Clemson, 66-65!

The victory moves Virginia’s win streak to six games, with an important home game against Miami next up tonight at 7 o’clock.

🔼 Comeback Falls Short. Virginia women’s basketball scored 25 fourth-quarter points at home on Sunday against Clemson and erased a 10-point deficit in the quarter, but a late surge from the Tigers was the difference in a 75-69 win for the visitors.

Kymora Johnson and Sam Brunelle both scored 24 points for Virginia in the loss, Brunelle tying a JPJ single-game record with six 3-pointers.

🔼 On The Links. Led by yet another top-10 finish from All-American Amanda Sambach, Virginia women’s golf placed sixth at the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club over the weekend.

Freshman Jaclyn LaHa also posted a top-10 finish, tying for ninth at 7-over 223.

🔼 Around And Around. Day 1 of the Doc Hale Virginia Tech Elite saw standout performances in the long jump and 400 meters for Virginia track & field, while Day 2 was highlighted by Maggie Hock running the second-fastest indoor 800m in UVA history.

🔼 Clash Complete. Virginia wrestling couldn’t keep pace with Virginia Tech in its Commonwealth Clash over the weekend, dropping the dual 27-9 on Friday night inside JPJ.

Marlon Yarbrough picked up a big win over a ranked Hokie at 133 pounds, and Jack Gioffre finished up the dual with a tech fall win in his match at 141 pounds.

🔼 Tough Stretch. Virginia had the unenviable task of going on the road this weekend to play at No. 1 Ohio State and No. 16 Kentucky, losing both matches to fall to 5-3 on the young season.

🔼 Lone Setback. Virginia women’s tennis suffered its first loss of the season over the weekend, falling on the road at No. 5 Michigan, 5-2.

Elaine Chervinsky and Mélodie Collard picked up a top-10 doubles win, and Chervinsky also won her singles match.
