🔼 Man Of The Year. Virginia running back Mike Hollins has been selected as the Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year!
Former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten presented Hollins with the award at a ceremony Thursday night in Frisco, Texas.
🔼 Play Ball! It’s Opening Day for No. 14 Virginia baseball, with the Hoos set to begin a three-game series against Hofstra today at 3 p.m. at the Dish!
🔼 Welcoming Wake. No. 21 Virginia men’s basketball has a chance to get back on track tomorrow with Wake Forest traveling to Charlottesville for a noon tip.
The Hoos had an eight-game win streak snapped last time out against Pitt, and currently sit in third place in the ACC standings.
🔼 Another Ranked Foe. Virginia women’s basketball will be tested yet again this weekend when No. 19 Syracuse comes to town on Sunday for a 2 p.m. tip.
The game will serve as the Hoos’ National Girls & Women in Sports Day celebration.
🔼 Time For A Title. No. 4 seed Virginia men’s tennis begins play at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships this morning in New York, N.Y. against ACC rival Duke, the event’s 13-seed.
🔼 Trip to Tuscaloosa. After going 3-2 in South Carolina last weekend to open its season, Virginia softball is in Tuscaloosa, Ala. this weekend for two games each against No. 12 Alabama and Southern Indiana.
🔼 Road Test. No. 3 Virginia men’s lacrosse heads out onto the road for the first time this season this weekend, traveling to take on No. 16 Richmond at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
The Hoos are coming off a big 19-11 home win against then-No. 8 Michigan last weekend.
🔼 Tiger Tilt. No. 16 Virginia women’s lacrosse will look to move to 3-0 on the season when Princeton comes to town for a noon matchup tomorrow at Klöckner Stadium.
🔼 Two More. Virginia wrestling has one last dual in Memorial Gym today, with North Carolina in town for a 8:30 p.m. matchup.
The Hoos are 7-4 overall on the season, and a win against the Tar Heels would get them to .500 in ACC competition.
🔼 Three More. Virginia track & field is split up yet again this weekend, with members of the team traveling to the Arkansas Qualifier, Virginia Tech Challenge and Terrier DMR Challenge with one week left until the ACC Indoor Championships.
