🔼 Super Support. At least 45 percent of Virginia football’s 2025 roster will be new to the program. With more additions likely to come in the spring, UVA has signed 38 players since the end of last season. Nineteen of them were high school seniors in 2024, and the other 19 are transfers who were in college programs last season.

Head coach Tony Elliott noted on Wednesday that the talent the Hoos are bringing in would not be possible without the generous support of donors who have given toward NIL resources.

🔼 Hornets At Home. Virginia men’s basketball is at home this weekend, with Georgia Tech traveling to John Paul Jones Arena tomorrow for a 5:30 p.m. tip on The CW.

The Hoos are set to honor former head coach Tony Bennett at tomorrow’s game.

🔼 Let’s Play Lacrosse. No. 5 Virginia men’s lacrosse gets its season started tomorrow, hosting Colgate at noon at Klöckner Stadium.

The Hoos begin the season with a total of seven Preseason All-Americans, according to Inside Lacrosse.

🔼 Season Starter. No. 9 Virginia women’s lacrosse also gets its 2025 campaign started this weekend, hosting Liberty today at 4 p.m. for its Breast Cancer Awareness game.

🔼 Not Enough O. Virginia women’s basketball fell at home to No. 22 Florida State on Thursday, 101-68.

Kymora Johnson led the way for the Hoos with 16 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

🔼 Game 1 Gone. Virginia softball narrowly dropped its season opener on Thursday at South Carolina, 7-6.

Mary Caroline Eaton had two hits and a pair of RBI to lead the Hoos at the plate. Virginia plays twice today — against South Carolina again at 2:30 p.m. and East Carolina at 5 p.m.

🔼 Good Start. Virginia swimming finished up Day 1 of the Cavalier Invite with four victories — Leah Hayes and Teddy Cross won their respective 200 IM races, while Simon Lins won the 50 Free and the men’s 200 Free Relay won its race.

🔼 Championship Weekend. No. 5 Virginia women’s tennis is in Evanston, Ill. this weekend for the ITA National Team Indoor Championships, with a matchup against No. 13 Tennessee first up in the Round of 16.

The No. 5 Virginia men are in Athens, Ga. this weekend, squaring off against the Georgia Bulldogs today at 6 p.m.

Virginia Baseball Single Game Tickets On Sale Now. Single game tickets for all February home games, including the Dartmouth series, start at $12 for reserved seats and $8 for general admission. Home weekend series starting with Boston College will be $10 for GA and $15 for reserved seats. Tickets for the remaining 13 regular season games will go on-sale March 6 at 9 a.m.
