🔼 Winning Formula. Dai Dai Ames’ career-27 points was certainly a highlight of Virginia men’s hoops’ 73-57 win over Pittsburgh on Monday, but so too was the Hoos’ defense and effort.

🔼 Added Acclaim. More preseason praise has come in for Virginia baseball’s Henry Godbout and Henry Ford — both were named First Team Preseason All-Americans by Baseball America on Tuesday!

🔼 Conference Clout. A pair of Hoos have been named to the Preseason All-ACC Women’s Lacrosse team — Kate Galica, who was named the 2024 ACC Freshman of the Year, and Kate Miller, a captain on this year’s team.

🔼 Weekly Winners. On the heels of a team win over No. 1 Texas last weekend, Virginia men’s tennis’ Dylan Dietrich and Rafael Jódar have earned ACC awards — Dietrich is the Co-ACC Player of the Week and Jódar is the ACC Freshman of the Week!

🔼 Hoops Chat. Fresh off a road win at Syracuse and with a matchup at JPJ against No. 22 Florida State tomorrow night, Virginia women’s basketball head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton met with the media yesterday.

Virginia Men’s Basketball To Honor Tony Bennett On Saturday. Bennett will be honored at the UVA men’s basketball home game against Georgia Tech with tipoff slated for 5:30 p.m. at John Paul Jones Arena. UVA will recognize Bennett with tributes throughout the game and raise a banner in JPJ during a special ceremony at halftime. Each fan in attendance will receive a commemorative replica banner.
