🔼 Road Win. Virginia men’s basketball dominated Pittsburgh on the road Monday night, shooting 56 percent from the field in a 73-57 win over the Panthers.

Dai Dai Ames led all scorers with a career-high 27 points, followed by Blake Buchanan, who logged a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

🔼 Big Things Ahead. In December 2021, near the end of his first semester at the University of Virginia, Griffin Schutz made the cover of Inside Lacrosse magazine. A graduate of Deerfield Academy in Massachusetts, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Schutz was big, strong and fast, and Inside Lacrosse ranked him first among the recruits who entered college that fall.

Now a senior, Schutz is ready for his last dance in Charlottesville.

🔼 Remembering Lewis. Former Virginia men’s golf head coach Mike Moraghan has penned an article on Lewis Chitengwa, one of the greatest golfers in UVA history, who died at age 26. Chitengwa would have turned 50 on January 25.
