🔼 Road Trip. No. 14 Virginia men’s basketball plays its penultimate road game of the regular season today, traveling to Atlanta for a 9 p.m. tipoff at Georgia Tech!
The Yellow Jackets are 11-15 overall this season and 2-11 so far in conference play.
🔼 Tuesday Triumph. Virginia baseball was victorious in its first midweek game of the season Tuesday, beating VMI at the Dish, 5-2!
The Cavalier pitching staff was dominant, striking out 15 Keydets, while Joe Tiroly led the offense with three RBI.
🔼 Day 1 In The Books! Virginia swimming and diving is through one day at the ACC Championships in Atlanta, with the Cavalier women winning the 800 Free Relay and earning silver in the 200 Medley Relay, while the men set two school records.
🔼 Golf On The Moon! Virginia women’s golf wrapped up play at the Moon Golf Invitational at Suntree Country Club in Melbourne, Fla., on Tuesday, finishing in 16th place as a team.
Remi Bacardi led the Hoos individually, earning a tie for 49th place at 8-over.
🔼 Give Us Liberty! No. 24 Virginia women’s lacrosse hits the road again today in search of its first win of the season, traveling to Lynchburg for a 4 p.m. matchup at Liberty.
The Flames are 0-2 so far this season with losses to No. 8 Johns Hopkins and Davidson.
🔼 Clash On The Court! No. 16 Virginia women’s tennis opens ACC play today, traveling to Virginia Tech at 3 p.m. for a Smithfield Commonwealth Clash showdown!
🔼 Working Together! After three seasons as Virginia’s offensive line coach, Terry Heffernan accepted an offer last month to become offensive coordinator at Stanford. When he shared the news with the Cavaliers’ linemen, they told him they were happy for him but sorry he was leaving. They also made it clear that they thought head coach Tony Elliott need not look far for Heffernan’s successor.
They wanted Joey Orck to get the job.
