🔼 Clash Cash. Virginia men’s basketball earned a road rivalry win over the weekend, taking down Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, 73-70.
Isaac McKneely led the Hoos with 22 points, including six 3-pointers. Anthony Robinson also had a career day with 15 points and seven rebounds.

🔼 Walk It Off. Virginia softball brought the fireworks on Sunday at the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational, with MC Eaton hitting a two-run walk-off home run to beat No. 4 UCLA, 7-6.
Four players had multi-hit games for the Hoos — Jade Hylton, Kelly Ayer, Bella Cabral and Reece Holbrook.

🔼 History Made. Kymora Johnson scored 20 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out 11 assists in Virginia women’s basketball’s 80-67 win at Pittsburgh on Sunday, just the second player in program history to record a triple-double (Dawn Staley).
Latasha Lattimore also had a huge game, scoring a career-high 30 points and grabbing 11 rebounds of her own.

🔼 Season Opened. No. 2 Virginia baseball opened its season in Puerto Rico this past weekend, winning a pair of games as part of the Puerto Rico Challenge.
After falling in 11 innings to Michigan in their season opener, the Hoos beat Villanova and Rice on Saturday and Sunday to come away with a winning record.

🔼 Ranked Win. No. 8 Virginia women’s lacrosse picked up its first ranked victory of the season on Saturday, winning 13-11 on the road at No. 17 Princeton.
Jenna DiNardo and Kate Galica both scored three goals for the Hoos, and Galica added a career-high 12 draw controls.

🔼 Sunday Takedown. Virginia wrestling picked up its sixth win of the season on Sunday, taking down American, 30-8.
The Cavaliers won eight of the 10 weight classes on the way to the dual victory, including four by bonus points.

🔼 ITA Competition. No. 5 Virginia men’s tennis went 2-1 at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Dallas this past weekend, bowing out in the quarterfinals against No. 3 Texas before bouncing back for a win over No. 19 NC State in a consolation match.

🔼 Slow Start. No. 4 Virginia men’s lacrosse fell behind 6-2 to No. 20 Richmond after one quarter on Saturday and couldn’t recover, falling 13-10 to the Spiders.
Ryan Colsey, McCabe Millon and Ben Wayer each had multi-point efforts for the Hoos.

🔼 Two New Records. A pair of Virginia track and field records went down this past weekend — the men’s 4×400-meter relay broke the school record for the second consecutive weekend, while Margot Appleton broke her own record in the women’s mile!

🔼 Undefeated Trip. Both Virginia men’s and women’s squash went undefeated in Ithaca, N.Y. this weekend — the No. 5 men took down No. 9 Cornell and No. 14 Rochester, while the No. 6 women beat No. 8 Cornell.

Twenty-Four Virginia Football Players Named To All-ACC Academic Team. Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must have competed in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests during the season.
