🔼 Mixed Matchups. Two total team points against George Mason kept Virginia wrestling from an undefeated weekend, but the Hoos nonetheless came away with a split thanks to a 22-19 win over Gardner-Webb.

Justin McCoy continued his torrid stretch, winning both of his matches by bonus points to improve to 11-1 on the season.

🔼 Another Close Call. Virginia women’s basketball again played in a close ACC contest on Sunday, falling to Duke 60-56.

The Hoos shot just 30 percent from the field, but stayed in the game thanks to 22 free-throw makes on 26 attempts. Camryn Taylor led the team in scoring for the third game in a row, with 17 points.

🔼 Work To Do. The road woes continued for Virginia men’s basketball over the weekend at NC State, losing 76-60 to the Wolfpack to move back to 2-2 in ACC play.

One of the bright spots for the Hoos was Isaac McKneely, who continues to have a hot hand — the guard led all scorers with 18 points.
