🔼 Orange Opener. The home crowd for Virginia’s inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge win over Texas A&M was boisterous on Wednesday night.

The atmosphere on Saturday for the Hoos’ ACC opener versus Syracuse will be electric, too!

🔼 Comeback Cavs. Virginia wide receiver Malachi Fields and running back Mike Hollins are two of 15 finalists for the 2023 Comeback Player of the Year Award, the College Sports Communicators, Associated Press and Fiesta Bowl Organization announced Thursday.

🔼 Ours In OT. It took more than the first 40 minutes, but when the final buzzer sounded at the end of overtime on Thursday night, Virginia women’s basketball earned a hard-fought win over Missouri, 87-81.

Camryn Taylor starred for the Hoos, scoring 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting.

🔼 Flying To Fargo. Virginia wrestling is headed to the Upper Midwest tomorrow for its third dual meet of the season against North Dakota State.

The Bison, a member of the Big 12 Conference for wrestling, are 0-2 on the season in dual action with a pair of ranked losses to No. 9 Nebraska and No. 20 Oklahoma.

🔼 Wahoo Weekend. Mark Allen is in charge of two of the top teams in the country in UVA men’s and women’s squash.

The two programs have a big weekend ahead at home, and Allen sat down with the Wahoo Central Podcast to discuss it all!

🔼 Enshrined Forever. Virginia baseball has announced the induction of three former players into the UVA Baseball Hall of Fame — Jon Benick (1999-01), George Priftis (1980-83) and David Stone (1999-02)!

The Virginia Baseball Hall of Fame has inducted 41 members since its establishment in 2017, with their plaques on display at Disharoon Park on the right field line concourse.
