🔼 Say Cheese! We know we’ve officially turned the page to 2024, but we’re not quite done looking back at 2023 yet — there was just so much to celebrate!

🔼 One Up, One Down. Virginia men’s basketball split a pair of games over the break, taking down Morgan State at home, 79-44, before falling in its ACC road opener to Notre Dame, 76-54.
Reece Beekman led the Hoos in scoring in both games, scoring 17 against Morgan State and 15 against the Fighting Irish.

Virginia at Notre Dame
🔼 ACC Opened. Virginia women’s basketball had a tough task to open up ACC play, hosting No. 3 NC State on Sunday. The Hoos took a one-point lead into halftime against the Wolfpack, but ultimately fell 72-61.
Camryn Taylor led the way for the Hoos, contributing 17 points and 15 rebounds.

🔼 On The Medal Stand. Virginia wrestling was in the Midwest over the weekend competing at the Ken Kraft Midlands Championships, and traveled back to Grounds with a pair of wrestlers who placed in their respective weight classes.
Justin McCoy finished sixth at 174 pounds, only after having to withdraw from his semifinal matchup due to injury. Marlon Yarbrough finished eighth at 133 pounds.
