🔼 Howdy, Partner! Virginia men’s basketball picked up a win in its ACC/SEC Challenge matchup last night, traveling to Texas and beating the Longhorns, 88-69!
The Hoos shot 54 percent from the field and 50 percent from deep (12-of-24) in the win. Chance Mallory led the way with 16 points, followed by Johann Grünloh (15), Thijs De Ridder (13), Malik Thomas (11) and Jacari White (10) in double figures.
🔼 Country Challenge. Virginia women’s basketball fell in its ACC/SEC Challenge matchup at No. 15 Vanderbilt on Wednesday, 81-68.
Kymora Johnson led the Cavaliers with 22 points while dishing out seven assists and pulling down five rebounds. Paris Clark (12) and Adeang Ring (10) each scored in double figures while Johnson and Jillian Brown combined for six of Virginia’s 10 steals.

Midfielder Lia Godfrey was a first team selection, while defender Laney Rouse and goalkeeper Victoria Safradin were second team selections.
