🔼 All-Conference Cavs! Virginia football was all over the ACC preseason awards on Tuesday, with a total of 15 all-conference players!

UVA’s 15 selections are the program’s most in a season since the 1996 team boasted 16 honorees. This year also marks the fifth straight in which UVA was represented on the league’s first-team list, with J’Mari Taylor the first Cavalier tailback named to the first team since Alvin Pearman in 2004!

🔼 We Meet Again! Virginia football has a rematch with Duke on Saturday in the ACC Championship in Charlotte, N.C., after the Hoos beat the Blue Devils on the road earlier this season, 34-17!

🔼 Deep In The Heart Of Texas. Virginia men’s basketball travels to Austin, Texas, today for a 9:15 p.m. tipoff against the Texas Longhorns as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge on ESPNU!

The Longhorns are 6-2 so far this season, with a 4-0 record at home.

🔼 Music City Matchup. Virginia women’s hoops heads to Nashville, Tenn., today, set for its ACC/SEC Challenge matchup with No. 15 Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. on the SEC Network.

The Commodores are unbeaten this season at 8-0, with a 3-0 mark so far at home.

🔼 Regional Rockstars. The United Soccer Coaches released its All-Region honorees on Tuesday, and Virginia women’s soccer was well-represented with five members!

Midfielder Lia Godfrey was a first team selection, while defender Laney Rouse and goalkeeper Victoria Safradin were second team selections. Forward Maggie Cagle was a third team honoree, while defender Kiki Maki was a fourth team selection.

🔼 Return Of The MAC. Virginia women’s soccer midfielder Lia Godfrey has been named a semifinalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, awarded annually to the nation’s top collegiate player!

🔼 Silver Swim. Virginia freshman Sara Curtis won a silver medal on Tuesday in the opening day of competition at the 2025 European Aquatics Short Course Swimming Championships being held Dec. 2-7 in Lublin, Poland!

Will Bettridge Wins ACC’s Top Academic Honor. The award is given annually in memory of the late Jim Tatum to the top senior student-athlete among the league’s football players. Tatum, a two-time ACC Coach of the Year, coached in the 1950s at both Maryland and North Carolina and believed strongly in the concept of the student-athlete.
