🔼 Tiger Fight. Virginia men’s basketball dropped its first home game of the season on Wednesday night, 64-62, against No. 21 Memphis.

The Hoos led 30-21 at halftime, but a sustained run by the Tigers in the second half proved to be the difference. Elijah Saunders led Virginia with 15 points, and Taine Murray scored a career-high 14 points.

🔼 Student-Athletes. A trio of Virginia volleyball players have been named to the 2024 Academic All-District team!

Abby Tadder earned her second appearance on the list, while Ashley Le and Kate Johnson are first-time selections.

🔼 South-Sider. Virginia baseball alum Matt Thaiss has found a new home with the Chicago White Sox!

Thaiss hit .339 in three seasons with the Hoos from 2014-16 with 20 home runs and 130 RBI before being selected in the first round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Angels.
