🔼 Immediate Impact. Boy, was it great to have Dante Harris back out on the court for Virginia men’s basketball on Wednesday night against Virginia Tech!

After missing the previous 10 games with an ankle injury, Harris scored five points and dished out five assists against the Hokies, and his impact went well beyond the box score.

The Hoos hope to roll the momentum from Wednesday’s game onto the road with them this weekend, as they head to Atlanta to take on Georgia Tech tomorrow at 6 p.m.

🔼 Test Passed. No. 1 Virginia men’s tennis got the best of No. 3 Texas in a rematch of last year’s NCAA Semifinal, winning 4-3 to claim a big early-season win.

Alexander Kiefer earned the clinching point for the Hoos, who also got singles wins from Chris Rodesch and Måns Dahlberg, as well as the doubles point.

🔼 Fought The Irish. Playing its third straight ranked opponent, Virginia women’s basketball made a late run against No. 19 Notre Dame but ended up falling just short, losing 86-76 to the Irish.

Kymora Johnson and Paris Clark led the way with 16 points apiece for the Hoos, and Olivia McGhee was right behind with 14 of her own.

Next up, Virginia gets its fourth straight ranked opponent as it travels south to take on No. 15 Florida State.

🔼 Brooms Aplenty. In its season-opening match against Richmond, No. 12 Virginia women’s tennis won 4-0.

What did the Hoos do for an encore later in the day against James Madison? Pick up a 7-0 win to finish off a double-sweep day!

🔼 Water World. Virginia swimming & diving splashes back into ACC action this weekend with NC State and North Carolina in Charlottesville for a two-day competition.

Diving begins today at 2:30 p.m. with swimming to follow at 5 p.m.!

🔼 In The Blocks. A week after Virginia track & field traveled to Blacksburg, Va. for the Virginia Tech Invitational, the program is right back there this weekend for the Hokie Invitational.
