🔼 Let The (Real) Games Begin! It’s here! It’s finally here! Virginia men’s basketball is on the court inside John Paul Jones Arena tonight for its regular season opener against Tarleton State!
The Texans were 17-17 a season ago, but just 2-12 on the road.
🔼 Going Dancing. Virginia field hockey is headed to the NCAA Tournament!
The Hoos earned an at-large bid on Sunday night to make their way into the 18-team field. They will compete in the Maryland regional and take on Saint Joseph’s this Friday at 2:30 p.m. to kick things off.
🔼 Downed On PKs. No. 9 Virginia men’s soccer led No. 22 Syracuse into the 84th minute of the ACC Tournament on Sunday, but a late goal and penalty kick advantage gave the Orange the win.
🔼 Solid Start. Eight Cavalier wrestlers placed at the Southeast Open at Roanoke College over the weekend.
Dylan Cedeno (157), Jack Gioffre (141) and Kyle Montaperto (125) all finished third to lead Virginia, while Gable Porter (133) finished fifth and Nick Hamilton (165) finished sixth.
🔼 Couldn’t Hang On. Virginia football scored the first points of the game against Georgia Tech on Saturday on a touchdown pass from Anthony Colandrea to Josh Rawlings, but couldn’t keep that momentum in a 45-17 loss.

⚔️ Pair Of Hoos Earn Bronze Medals At PanAm Games. Virginia alum Amanda Haywood and current Hoo Meagan Best both earned bronze medals for Barbados in squash at the 2023 PanAm Games.
