🔼 Top-10. In the midst of the best season ever for a Virginia wide receiver, Malik Washington has been named one of 10 finalists for the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to college football’s most outstanding FBS receiver!

Washington has 96 catches for 1,311 yards this season, both UVA records. He currently ranks second in the country in receptions, receptions per game (8.7), receiving yards and receiving yards per game (119.2).

🔼 Lessons Learned. Although Sunday ended in a loss to No. 25 Oklahoma for Virginia women’s basketball, head coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton knows her team learned some things about itself against the Sooners.

And with matchups against teams like Tulane, LSU and Missouri upcoming, those lessons are certainly valuable.

🔼 Another One Tomorrow. Virginia men’s basketball fell to Wisconsin, 65-41, in its first game of the Fort Myers Tip-Off on Monday evening.

Reece Beekman led the way with 17 points, seven assists and two steals.

🔼 Hoos And Hoosiers. Virginia men’s soccer has a matchup against Indiana in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Men’s Soccer Championship this Sunday at Klöckner Stadium!

Indiana, unseeded in the NCAA Tournament, has advanced thanks to wins over Lipscomb and No. 10 seed Wake Forest.

🔼 Coach Chat. Virginia director of tennis Andres Pedroso recently sat down with UVA President Jim Ryan on his podcast “Inside UVA” and told a story about how some advice from a sports agent led him to pursuing a career in coaching.

🤔 HOOS TRIVIA

Under Center. Virginia freshman quarterback Anthony Colandrea now has 1,715 passing yards this season.
