🔼 Time For Tip. Virginia women’s basketball laces ‘em up for the first time tonight in an exhibition game against Pitt-Johnstown inside John Paul Jones Arena!

The Hoos’ exhibition game comes less than a week before their season opener next Wednesday against Maryland Eastern Shore.

🔼 Not Quite Enough. Fourth-seeded Virginia field hockey dropped a close game to top-seeded North Carolina, 3-2 in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday.

The Hoos fell behind 2-0 early and battled back to make it a one-score game thanks to a pair of goals from Jans Croon.

Virginia will now wait for the NCAA Selection Show, which will stream live on NCAA.com on Sunday, Nov. 5 at 10 p.m.

🔼 Awards Season. A pair of Virginia women’s soccer players found themselves on All-ACC lists on Wednesday.

Maggie Cagle was named All-ACC second team, while Yuna McCormack was named to the All-Freshman team.
