🔼 Defensive Dominance. Virginia men’s basketball didn’t allow 20 points in either half on Thursday night against Texas Southern, winning by a 62-33 final score.

Thursday was the first time in program history the Hoos recorded 10 blocks and 10 steals in the same game.

🔼 And Then There Were Four. There’s a big one in Chapel Hill today — No. 5 seed Virginia field hockey is in North Carolina to take on the top-seeded Tar Heels with a spot in the NCAA Championship game on the line!

The Hoos and the Heels are certainly familiar with each other this season, splitting a pair of 3-2 contests throughout the year.

📰 FEATURE: Hoos Out To Make History In Chapel Hill

🔼 Tourney Time. Because Virginia men’s soccer earned the No. 7 national seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Hoos got to kick their feet up and watch the first round on Thursday night.

Virginia will play Florida International on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Klöckner Stadium, thanks to FIU’s 1-0 win over Mercer on Thursday.

🔼 First Big Test. Virginia women’s basketball gets its biggest test to date this Sunday when No. 25 Oklahoma comes to town for a 2 p.m. tip.

The Sooners are 4-0 on the year, their biggest win coming against No. 12 Ole Miss in Oxford just over a week ago.

🔼 Build On It. With a win over Notre Dame last time out fresh on the mind, Virginia volleyball will look to keep the momentum rolling as it hosts Duke for Senior Night tonight.

The Blue Devils are 8-7 in ACC play, but just 2-5 on the road during conference action.

🔼 Let The Duals Begin. Virginia wrestling gets its dual season started this weekend at the Armbar At The Armory in Albany, N.Y. against LIU and Buffalo.

The Hoos head into the weekend with three wrestlers ranked individually — Justin McCoy (174) is ranked ninth, Jack Gioffre (141) is No. 21, and Michael Gioffre (149) is No. 30.
