🔼 Round 2. Virginia men’s basketball is back inside John Paul Jones Arena today, hosting NC Central at 7 p.m.

The Eagles opened the season at NC State on Monday, falling 114-66 to the Wolfpack.

🔼 One More! Virginia field hockey will play for an ACC Championship title after beating Syracuse on Thursday in a shootout!

After the score remained tied at the end of regulation, the Hoos and Orange battled in a double overtime. With the score still tied at the conclusion of the two overtime periods, the teams went into a shootout, which Virginia won 4-1.

Virginia will play North Carolina today at 3 p.m. in Louisville for the ACC title.

🔼 Sunday Tipoff. Virginia women’s basketball plays its second game of the regular season on Sunday, welcoming Bucknell to JPJ at 2 p.m.

The Bison played at Penn State in their season opener, losing 83-55.

🔼 NCAAs Next. Virginia women’s soccer fell to top-seeded Stanford on Thursday in the semifinal of the ACC Championship in Cary, N.C., 3-2.

After the Cardinal took a 3-0 lead, Meredith McDermott found the back of the net for the Hoos in the 58th minute and Maggie Cagle added another on a PK in the 85th minute.

🔼 Tournament Time. Virginia men’s soccer, the top seed in this week’s ACC Tournament, will open play in the quarterfinals against No. 9 seed North Carolina this Sunday at 4 p.m.

The Hoos and Tar Heels played in Charlottesville on Sept. 27, playing to a 0-0 draw.

Virginia To Honor Debbie Ryan At Notre Dame Game In February. Ryan will be honored at the UVA women’s basketball home game against Notre Dame, with tipoff slated for 2 p.m. at John Paul Jones Arena. UVA will recognize Ryan with tributes throughout the game and will raise a banner in JPJ during a special halftime ceremony, featuring remarks from Coach Ryan.
