Virginia men's basketball beat Campbell in its season opener last night!

🔼 Opened With A Win. Virginia men’s basketball is 1-0 after a 65-56 win over Campbell inside John Paul Jones Arena on Wednesday!
Jacob Cofie led the the Hoos in scoring with 16 points, shooting 7-of-8 from the field. Isaac McKneely (11), Elijah Saunders (11) and Blake Buchanan (10) rounded out the double-digit scorers.
Virginia is back on the court on Monday, Nov. 11, hosting Coppin State at 7 p.m.

🔼 Protected Home Court. Virginia volleyball got back in the win column on Wednesday night, earning a rivalry win over Virginia Tech in five sets at Memorial Gymnasium, its fifth straight win against the Hokies.
Elayna Duprey led the Hoos with 13 kills, followed closely by Abby Tadder (12) and Becca Wight (11).
The Hoos and Hokies will match up again tomorrow night, finishing out the home-and-away series in Blacksburg at noon.
🔼 Two Goals! Twenty Seconds! The No. 9 seed Virginia men’s soccer team found itself down 1-0 to No. 8 seed NC State in the 72nd minute in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday, but it didn’t stay that way for much longer — two goals in a matter of 20 seconds gave the Hoos a 2-1 win!
Triton Beauvois scored the equalizing header off a beautiful assist from Paul Wiese, and David Okorie quickly netted the game-winner 20 seconds later.
The Hoos advance to take on No. 1 seed Pitt this Sunday at 8 p.m. in Pittsburgh.

🔼 The Trifecta. For the third year in a row, Virginia women’s soccer’s Maggie Cagle has earned All-ACC honors!
Cagle has helped lead the Cavaliers to a 12-5 record this season as the team’s top offensive producer. She leads the squad with six goals and is tied for the team lead in assists with five. Her 17 total points leads the squad this season.

🔼 Last Chance. Members of both the Virginia men’s and women’s tennis programs will be in Chapel Hill, N.C. this weekend to compete at the ITA Sectionals, the last chance players have to qualify for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships later this month in Waco, Texas.
