🔼 Let’s Get It Started. Today is Virginia men’s basketball’s turn to get its season underway!

The Hoos are at home today, hosting Campbell at 7 p.m. with interim head coach Ron Sanchez taking the reins for the first time. Tonight’s matchup is the first between Virginia and Campbell.

🔼 Clash On The Court. Bragging rights and a point in the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash are on the line tonight, as Virginia volleyball hosts Virginia Tech at 6 p.m. for the first of back-to-back matches against the Hokies.

🔼 Four More. Coming out of its bye week, Virginia football has four regular-season games left. Three are on the road, including this Saturday’s night game at No. 23 Pitt.

Coming off the loss to UNC, Virginia had “to reset,” head coach Tony Elliott said. “We took the first part of the bye week to really evaluate ourselves and study what we were doing, and then turn the page and start getting ready for Pitt.”

🔼 Right Foot. She’ll know much more about her basketball team after its first road game, but Amaka Agugua-Hamilton had ample reason to smile Monday night at John Paul Jones Arena.

It wasn’t just that Virginia topped the century mark in its 104-68 win over American in the season opener for both teams. Agugua-Hamilton loved how efficient the Cavaliers were with the ball. They totaled 35 fast-break points and were credited with assists on 26 of their 42 field goals.

🔼 Postseason Pitch. Virginia men’s soccer kicks off postseason play today, traveling to Raleigh, N.C. to take on NC State in the first round of the ACC Championships.

The Hoos have earned the No. 9 seed in this week’s conference tournament, while the Wolfpack is the No. 8 seed.

🔼 Orange Squeezed. The No. 4 seed Virginia field hockey team fell in the opening round of the ACC Tournament to No. 5 seed Syracuse on Tuesday, 1-0.

Next up for the Hoos will be the NCAA Selection Show, which will stream live on NCAA.com this Sunday at 10 p.m.
