🔼 Into The Semis! Nick Simmonds came through once again in a crucial moment, scoring the game-winning goal to lift top-seeded Virginia men’s soccer to its third ACC Semifinal appearance in four seasons!
The fourth-ranked Cavaliers rallied from an early deficit to defeat ninth-seeded North Carolina, 2-1, on Sunday evening at Klöckner Stadium.

🔼 Still Building. Virginia men’s basketball picked up its second win of the season on Friday, beating NC Central inside John Paul Jones Arena, 81-62.
Thijs De Ridder led the way with 20 points, followed by Malik Thomas (12), Sam Lewis (10) and Ugonna Onyenso (10) in double figures.

🔼 Dominant On Defense. Virginia women’s basketball improved to 2-0 on Sunday, beating Bucknell, 80-35, at JPJ.
The Hoos enjoyed a balanced offensive effort as 10 different shooters found the bottom of the net, including guard Kymora Johnson (23 pts, 7 ast, 5 stl) and guard Gabby White (11 pts, 6 reb, 3 ast). Forward Tabitha Amanze was the third Cavalier to score in double figures, recording 11 points and 11 rebounds to secure her second career double-double.

🔼 Onto NCAAs! The Virginia women’s tennis duo of Melodie Collard and Vivian Yang are headed to the NCAA Doubles Championship after picking up three wins at the ITA Conference Masters over the weekend!

🔼 Tourney Test. Virginia field hockey suffered just its second loss of the season on Friday, losing 4-1 to North Carolina in the ACC Championship game.
At the conclusion of the game, Virginia’s Lauren Kenah, Madison Orsi and Emma Watchilla were named to the ACC Field Hockey Championship All-Tournament Team.

🔼 Action-Packed. After splitting a pair of duals against LIU and No. 8 Lehigh on Saturday at the Journeymen WrangleMania, Virginia wrestling had nine wrestlers place in their respective brackets on Sunday at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic in Bethlehem, Pa.

🔼 Top-10 Tests. Virginia volleyball had the task of playing a pair of top-10 opponents on the road this past weekend, dropping a pair of three-set matches to No. 10 SMU and No. 3 Pitt.

🔼 Docked For Winter. The Virginia rowing team swept both races at the Rivanna Romp Sunday on the Rivanna Reservoir. UVA won the Varsity Eight, and Varsity Four to conclude its fall season.
The annual regatta featured crews from Georgetown, Minnesota, Navy, North Carolina and Old Dominion. Virginia has captured the last 19 Varsity Eight races at the Romp, while the UVA Varsity Four has won 16 of the last 18 races.

Lars Tiffany Announces 2025 Season Award Winners. The list of accolades was highlighted by Allen Voshell award, bestowed to the team’s most outstanding player. This year’s recipient was long-stick midfielder Ben Wayer, who for the second consecutive season led the team in ground balls (70), and was selected by the Philadelphia Waterdogs in the third round of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) Draft.
