🔼 The People Have Spoken. Virginia men’s basketball has been picked fourth in the 2023-24 ACC Preseason Poll!
The Hoos fall in line behind Duke, which was picked as the league favorite, Miami and North Carolina.
Additionally, senior guard Reece Beekman was selected to the Preseason All-ACC First Team.
On top of the obvious stakes of running in a conference championship race, there are also bragging rights on the line for the Hoos — the ACC Cross Country Championships count toward the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash versus Virginia Tech.
🔼 Finishing Strong. Virginia women’s soccer ended its regular season in just about the best way possible — a 4-0 win on the road at Syracuse on Thursday night.
The Hoos got goals from four different players — Jill Flammia, Maggie Cagle, Meredith McDermott and Talia Staude.

Wake Forest (15-6, 6-4 ACC) is in town tonight for Virginia’s first match of the weekend, which will be played at Memorial Gymnasium. Then comes the first-ever volleyball match inside JPJ, with the Hoos looking to extend their win streak against Virginia Tech (12-9, 2-8 ACC) to three matches.
🔼 Last One. No. 14 Virginia men’s soccer (9-3-3) finishes up the regular season tonight against No. 10 North Carolina at Klöckner Stadium, riding a seven-match unbeaten streak.
The Tar Heels are 7-2-5 on the season and 2-2-3 in ACC play. With one game remaining before postseason play begins, the Hoos have the third-most points in the conference with 13.
