🔼 Taking Notice. Virginia football’s epic 31-27 come-from-behind win over No. 10 North Carolina on Saturday has earned the Hoos the Cheez-It National Team of the Week distinction!
📅 KICK TIME: UVA/Georgia Tech To Kick At 2 P.M. On Nov. 4
🔼 Playmakers Making Plays. Virginia football and its players are the talk of the ACC this week!
James Jackson has been named the ACC Linebacker of the Week for his six tackles and game-sealing interception, while Malik Washington was named ACC Receiver of the Week for his 12-catch, 115-yard performance.
🔼 Going Out On A High Point. Virginia men’s soccer goes outside of ACC play one last time this regular season tonight as it hosts High Point.
The Panthers are 8-2-4 on the year, and undefeated in Big South play. They played NC State to a 0-0 draw a week ago, and dropped a 3-2 decision to Virginia Tech last month.
As for Virginia, it’s now been more than a month since the Hoos dropped a match, going 4-0-2 since a loss at Notre Dame on Sept. 22.
🔼 Really Rolling. Virginia field hockey seems to be peaking at the perfect time, riding a three-game win streak into its regular season finale at James Madison this evening.
The Hoos haven’t lost to a team outside the top-five in more than a month, and have back-to-back wins over Duke and North Carolina, both ranked No. 2 at the time of the matchup.
🔼 Regional Champs. Virginia women’s tennis’ trophy case just got more crowded — Hibah Shaikh and Natasha Subhash won the ITA Atlantic Regional doubles title on Monday in Lynchburg, Va.
On top of her doubles title, Shaikh was the runner-up in singles.
🤔 HOOS TRIVIA
Always Open. Virginia receiver Malik Washington caught 12 passes against North Carolina on Saturday.

⚔️ Paige Madden, Jack Aikins Add Gold Medals At 2023 Pan American Games. Madden won her second individual gold of the meet with her win in the 800-meter freestyle, while Aikins earned gold as part of the mixed 4×100-meter medley relay.
⚔️ From Inside Lacrosse: Notes from the American Boy Fall Brawl scrimmage. Virginia took down Colgate and Towson during the scrimmages.
