🔼 Weekend Of Wins. What a weekend it was for Virginia field hockey — a 5-0 win on the road at Wake Forest on Friday night served as the appetizer for a 2-1 double overtime win at No. 2 Duke on Sunday!

🔼 Clash Commences. Virginia women’s soccer got this year’s Smithfield Commonwealth Clash started on the right foot with a 3-0 win over Virginia Tech on Sunday!

Chloe Japic (10’), Allie Ross (58’) and Maggie Cagle (64’) contributed goals for the Hoos, and goalkeeper Cayla White pitched her fifth shutout of the season.

🔼 Ranked Win. Virginia men’s soccer came from behind over the weekend to win a crucial ACC matchup with No. 11 Pitt!

The Hoos fell behind in the ninth minute of the match, but quick answers from Mouhameth Thiam (18’) and Stephen Annor (28’) gave UVA the victory.

🔼 Setting Records. Virginia men’s golf made 30 birdies on Sunday at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, shooting a tournament single-round record 19-under, storming back from an 11-shot deficit to win the event.

Ben James shot 7-under during Sunday’s final round to lead the Hoos, and finished tied for fifth. Paul Chang and Bryan Lee also grabbed top-10 finishes.

🔼 Bronze For Both. Both the Virginia men’s and women’s cross country teams finished third at the XC23 Pre-Nationals over the weekend at Panorama Farms.

Gary Martin led the way for the No. 10-ranked Hoos placing 10th individually, while Margot Appleton finished fourth to pace the No. 7-ranked women’s squad.
