🔼 The Next Chapter. Jay Woolfolk was on the hill at Scott Stadium as the Virginia football team ran out of the tunnel for its Sept. 9 home opener.

A year prior, he was running out of the tunnel with the team. Now, his days as a dual-sport athlete at Virginia are behind him as he focuses full-time on pitching out of the Hoos’ bullpen.

🔼 On The Rise. Virginia men’s tennis player Alex Kiefer has experienced a steady rise as a contributor on back-to-back national championship teams.

🔼 Freshman Forward. Virginia basketball fans — any interest in getting to know a 6-10 skilled freshman forward who averaged 15.2 points and led his high school to an undefeated state championship last year?

The Smithfield Commonwealth Clash is BACK! The Commonwealth Clash, which started in 2017, is a friendly, statewide rivalry between Virginia and Virginia Tech and their school-sponsored sports.

The school that accumulates 11.5 points or more has been annually crowned the winner and takes home the Commonwealth Clash trophy, presented by Smithfield. The first contest of the 2023-24 academic year will take place on October 15 between Virginia and Virginia Tech women’s soccer.

Oh, and in case you were wondering — Virginia won last year!
