🔼 All Roads Lead To Grounds. Growing up as an avid hoops fan in the Washington, D.C., area, Matt Henry followed the Big East closely and pulled for the powerhouse John Thompson oversaw at Georgetown University. The ACC program down the road at the University of Virginia? Not so much.

Thirty-five years later, Henry’s allegiances have switched. He’s an assistant on head coach Ryan Odom’s first staff at Virginia. They’ve been colleagues since the summer of 2018, when Odom hired Henry as an assistant coach at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

🔼 Return of the MAC. Three Virginia women’s soccer players have been named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List!

Midfielder Lia Godfrey, defender Laney Rouse and goalkeeper Victoria Safradin are the three Cavaliers on the list at the midseason point from the Virginia program. The trio have the Cavaliers ranked No. 1 nationally and sitting at 10-0-1 on the year and 4-0-0 in ACC play.

🔼 Fantastic Freshman. Following a record-breaking weekend, Virginia volleyball outside hitter Reagan Ennist has been named Freshman of the Week by the ACC!

🔼 Nothing In Net. Virginia men’s soccer goalkeeper Casper Mols has been named the ACC Defensive Player of the Week following a shutout win at No. 2 NC State last weekend!

🔼 Conference Acclaim. Virginia field hockey standouts Madison Orsi and Emma Watchilla have been named ACC Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week, respectively, after the Hoos took down No. 9 Duke last week!

🔼 Leading The Charge. Virginia men’s lacrosse head coach Lars Tiffany has announced that John Schroter, Truitt Sunderland and Joey Terenzi will captain the Hoos for the 2025-26 season!

Today’s Trivia Question: How many shutouts does Casper Mols have this season?
