🔼 A New Love. Former Virginia women’s lacrosse head coach Julie Myers stepped down after the 2023 season, but her retirement from coaching wasn’t her final act — Myers is now the CEO of the One Love Foundation, which was created to empower young people and those who care for them to recognize the signs of abusive relationship behaviors.
Yeardley Love, a player under Myers at UVA in 2010, was killed by her ex-boyfriend less than three weeks from graduation. It was Love’s mother, Sharon, and sister, Lexie, who founded the One Love Foundation.

🔼 Martin The Miler. Before coming to UVA, Gary Martin established himself as one of the fastest high school milers in U.S. history. He now excels at longer distances, too, and he’s looking forward to the ACC Cross Country Championships, Friday in Cary, N.C.
He joined the Wahoo Central Podcast this week to discuss the upcoming race!
