🔼 Cardiac Cavaliers! No. 16 Virginia football won its third overtime game of the season on Saturday, the most recent coming in a 17-16 win at North Carolina in the 130th edition of The South’s Oldest Rivalry!
The win, which moves the Hoos to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in ACC play, has the team well-positioned in the conference race.

🔼 Tipoff Test. Virginia men’s basketball got its first look at the Ryan Odom era on Friday night, with the Hoos beating Villanova in an exhibition game at John Paul Jones Arena, 75-72!
Virginia finished with a 45.3 percent (24-of-53) shooting mark from the field and shot 38.5 percent (10-of-26) from deep. All eleven Cavaliers that entered the game recorded points, with Malik Thomas (16 pts, 5-10 FG, 3-4 3FG) and Johann Grünloh (12 pts, 4-9 FG, 3-4 FT) reaching double figure scoring. Virginia outrebounded the Wildcats 39-32 and tallied 15 assists, seven blocks and seven steals.

🔼 Tamed The Tigers. No. 11 Virginia men’s soccer improved to 4-0-3 in ACC play on Saturday night, dominating Clemson at Klöckner Stadium, 4-0.
Nick Simmonds was the star of the match, netting a hat trick for the Hoos.

🔼 Shutout Statement. No. 3 Virginia field hockey improved to 12-1 overall and 6-1 in ACC play on Friday, beating Louisville on the road for the first time since 2019, 2-0.
The Hoos secured goals from Mary Adams and Amelie Rees.

🔼 Made A Splash. Virginia men’s and women’s swimming both picked up wins over the weekend against North Carolina, the men winning by one point, 145-144, while the women dominated in a 203-90 victory.

🔼 Sunday Shutout. No. 3 Virginia women’s soccer picked up a win yesterday on Senior Day at Klöckner Stadium, beating Pitt, 2-0, to improve to 11-2-3 overall and 5-2-2 in ACC play.
Lia Godfrey scored both goals for the Hoos against the Panthers.

🔼 On The Road. Virginia volleyball traveled to the state of Florida over the weekend, dropping a pair of four-set matchups at Florida State and No. 15 Miami.
