🔼 Coach Bennett To Retire. Dean and Markel Families Men’s Head Basketball Coach Tony Bennett will announce his retirement after 15 seasons at the University of Virginia in a press conference at John Paul Jones Arena today at 11 a.m.
Bennett posted a 364-136 record at Virginia, guiding the Cavaliers to the 2019 NCAA Championship, two ACC Tournament titles, six ACC regular-season championships and 10 NCAA tournament appearances. Bennett was named ACC Coach of the Year in 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019.
The three-time National Coach of the Year amassed a 433-169 overall record in 18 seasons, including a 69-33 mark and a pair of NCAA tournament appearances at Washington State from 2007-09.

🔼 Home Finale. No. 4 Virginia field hockey plays its final two home games of the regular season this weekend, hosting No. 12 Syracuse today at 3 p.m. and Miami (Ohio) on Sunday at noon.
The Orange are 10-3 on the season and are winners of four straight, including three ranked matchups.
Sunday’s matchup against Miami (Ohio) will serve as the Hoos’ Senior Day.
🔼 Home Sweet Home. Virginia volleyball welcomes in a pair of ACC opponents this weekend — Duke is in Charlottesville today for a 7 p.m. match before North Carolina travels to town on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The Hoos (4-2) are sandwiched by the Tar Heels (5-1) and Blue Devils (3-3) in the ACC standings this season.
🔼 Orange Crush. Riding a four-match win streak, Virginia men’s soccer hosts Syracuse tomorrow at 7 p.m. for the Hoos’ Senior Night.
The Orange are 6-4-3 on the season overall but just 1-2-2 in ACC play.
🔼 Gators In The Pool. Virginia swimming and diving is at home today against an aquatic foe, welcoming the Florida Gators to town for an early-season matchup.
Diving action will begin at 10 a.m., with swimming events slated to start at 1 p.m.

The men are in Alpharetta, Ga. to play in the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate hosted by Georgia Tech, while the women are in Stanford, Calif. for the Stanford Intercollegiate.

🔼 On The Run. Virginia cross country has its final tune-up before the ACC Championships this weekend, hosting the Panorama Farms Invitational tomorrow at 8:45 a.m.
🔼 Thursday In Tallahassee. No. 23 Virginia women’s soccer took a loss at No. 22 Florida State on Thursday night, 4-0.
The Hoos had four shots on goal, but nothing found the back of the net against the Seminoles.
Virginia is off the rest of this weekend, and will be back in action a week from today against Clemson in Charlottesville.
