🔼 Focused On The Task. Tony Elliott spent many of his formative years at Clemson—first as an engineering student and football player, later as an assistant coach—and so it’s understandable that his trip return to his alma mater is a major storyline in the ACC this week.
Elliott is doing his best, however, to block out external noise and prepare Virginia for its game at Clemson. At noon Saturday, the Cavaliers (4-2 overall, 2-1 ACC) meet the No. 10 Tigers (5-1, 4-0) at 81,500-seat Memorial Stadium.

🔼 Results Are In. The ACC released its Preseason Men’s Basketball Poll on Tuesday, and Virginia was picked to finish fifth after finishing third a season ago.
Duke is the preseason favorite, followed by North Carolina, Wake Forest and Clemson ahead of the Hoos.

🔼 One Of The Best. The Preseason All-ACC Women’s Basketball Team was released on Tuesday, and Virginia’s Kymora Johnson made the list!
Johnson comes off a freshman season in which she earned All-ACC second team and ACC All-Freshman honors, becoming the first UVA freshman to earn All-ACC team honors since Brandi Teamer accomplished the feat in 2002. Johnson is one of just two sophomores selected to the 2024-25 Preseason All-ACC team.
🔼 Seeing Double. In a six-week span, Madison Alaimo and Cece Webb both helped Team USA win world championships, but outside of the joy of their victories and the honor of wearing the letters USA across their jerseys, their two experiences could not have been more different.
What a night 🤩

🔼 Doubled Up. Virginia men’s soccer pushed its win streak to four matches on Tuesday, beating American 4-2 to move to 6-4-3 on the season.
The Hoos were down 2-1 at halftime to the Eagles, but two second-half goals from Kome Ubogu and one from Luke Burns proved to be the difference.
