The No. 1 women (1-0) opened the season with a 224-127 victory against No. 6 Florida (1-1) while the No. 13 men (0-1) were edged 191.5-159.5 by No. 4 Florida (1-1). The Cavalier men led 67-64 after the end of the opening session, but the Gators pushed ahead in the second half. The Virginia women led the entire meet.

🔼 All Even. No. 8 Virginia men’s soccer ran its unbeaten streak to eight matches on Friday night, playing Notre Dame to a 1-1 stalemate at Klöckner Stadium.

Virginia got on the board in the 72nd minute off the foot of Jill Flammia. A service to the back post was headed out as Stanford attempted to clear the ball. Starting in goal, Virginia’s Nilou Lempers recorded one save while both of North Carolina’s goalkeepers recorded one save.
