This year’s NGWSD celebration, themed “From Grounds to Glory,” will take place as part of the women’s basketball game against Louisville that tips at 2 p.m. The Olympians will be honored in a halftime ceremony on the court and those who can attend in person will be available for an autograph session following the game.

🔼 Advancing The Sport. Congratulations to Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Vin Lananna, who certainly does make the sport better each and every year!

🔼 Working Out. Two-time First Team All-ACC safety Jonas Sanker is headed to Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine!

🔼 Champ Crowned. Virginia wrestling spent this past weekend at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn., with competition highlighted by Dylan Cedeno’s title at 141 pounds.

Keyveon Roller (125) and Kyren Butler (141) both finished sixth in their weight classes, while Nick Sanko (157) finished seventh.

🔼 Work To Do. Virginia men’s basketball left Charlottesville yesterday for a week-long trip to the West Coast to face ACC newcomers Cal and Stanford.

In order to come home with a pair of wins, the Hoos will need to clean up the glass — Virginia has been outrebounded 112-72 so far in three ACC games.
