🔼 Extra, Extra Hoops! Down 19 at one point in the first half, No. 17 Virginia men’s basketball battled through two overtime periods on the road at Notre Dame on Tuesday night, winning 100-97 against the Fighting Irish to improve to 17-3 overall and 6-2 in ACC play!

Thijs De Ridder led the Hoos with 32 points and eight rebounds, followed by Sam Lewis (21 points), Chance Mallory (17 points) and Devin Tillis (12 points) in double figures. Virginia’s 19-point comeback is tied for the largest in program history.

🔼 Academic All-Star. Virginia tight end Sage Ennis has been named a Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators!

🔼 Preseason Praise. Virginia men’s lacrosse defenseman John Schroter has been named to the Preseason All-ACC Team ahead of the Hoos’ season opener on Feb. 8 against Colgate!

🔼 Throwin’ Weight. Virginia track and field’s Keyandre Davis is the ACC Field Athlete of the Week for his performance in the men’s weight throw at the Hokie Invitational!

On his sixth throw of the competition, Davis threw his winning mark and new personal best of 22.85m/74-11.75. He bettered his No. 3 all-time mark in program history and sits at No. 6 in the NCAA and No. 2 in the ACC this season.

Virginia Football’s 2026 Schedule Unveiled. The Cavaliers will host six games at Scott Stadium, including ACC matchups against Syracuse (Oct. 10), Duke (Oct. 23 or 24), Cal (Nov. 14) and North Carolina (Nov. 21). Virginia will also host inaugural home series against non-conference opponents Norfolk State (Sept. 12) and Delaware (Sept. 26).
