🔼 Back For More. No. 5 Virginia men’s tennis will have a shot at a seventh ITA National Team Indoor Championship after punching its ticket to Dallas with a pair of wins over Boise State and No. 19 Alabama at the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Charlottesville.
The Hoos took down the Tide, 4-1, on Sunday to advance to the Indoor Championship.

🔼 Ticket Punched. No. 5 Virginia women’s tennis won a pair of matchups over the weekend at the ITA Kickoff to punch its ticket to the ITA National Team Indoor Championship in Illinois.
The Hoos beat New Mexico, 4-0, on Friday before taking down No. 7 Duke, 4-3, on Saturday.

🔼 No. 1 vs. No. 2. In a showdown between the top-two teams in the country, No. 1 Virginia women’s swimming got the best of No. 2 Texas in Austin, 199-153.
Individually, Gretchen Walsh won the 100 Free, while Claire Curzan won the 100 and 200 Backstroke.

🔼 Running For Records. Virginia track and field had a fantastic weekend at the Penn 10 Elite, winning eight events and setting four facility records.
On the women’s side alone, Tatum David won the mile in a new personal-best 4:33.27, Sophia Atkinson won the 3,000m in 9:14.22, Celia Rifaterra won the high jump at 1.80m and Brooke Lumpkin won the shot put at 15.88m.

🔼 Long-Distance Loss. Virginia men’s basketball ran into a hot-shooting Notre Dame team on Saturday, falling 74-59 at John Paul Jones Arena.
The Irish shot 48.2 percent from the field and 52.2 percent from deep.

🔼 Comeback Falls Short. Virginia women’s basketball once again closed a nearly 20-point deficit to one possession on Sunday against Louisville at JPJ, but ultimately suffered a 68-65 loss to the Cardinals.
Paris Clark had her best game of the season for the Hoos, scoring 19 points, grabbing seven rebounds, three steals and three blocks.

🔼 Amongst The Trees. Virginia wrestling fell on the road at No. 16 Stanford on Sunday evening, 34-9.
Keyveon Roller picked up a win by forfeit at 125 pounds, and Dylan Cedeno won a 3-2 decision at 141 pounds to provide the points for the Hoos.
