🔼 Tickets Punched! Both Virginia men’s and women’s tennis are headed to the ITA Indoor National Championship after winning a pair of matches during the ITA Kickoff this past weekend!

🔼 Same Time Next Year? Virginia football is on a mission to make more history next season!

🔼 Carolina Clash. No. 14 Virginia men’s basketball led No. 22 North Carolina by nine points at halftime on Saturday, but a strong second half from the Tar Heels gave them an 85-80 win over the Hoos at John Paul Jones Arena.

Thijs De Ridder scored 20 points and collected eight rebounds to lead the Hoos, who were beaten at JPJ for the first time this season.

🔼 Just Short. Virginia women’s basketball climbed out of an 18-point deficit to NC State to force overtime on Saturday against the Wolfpack at John Paul Jones Arena, but ultimately fell in overtime, 78-76.

Kymora Johnson led the Hoos with 26 points and nine assists. Tabitha Amanze also scored in double figures with 14 points.

🔼 Road Run. Virginia track and field traveled to Blacksburg over the weekend for the Hokie Invitational, with three Hoos recording top-10 marks in program history!

🔼 Broken Record(s). No. 1 Virginia women’s swimming beat No. 7 NC State on Friday in Raleigh, 181-113, and set 10 pool records in the process!

Aimee Canny won three races, posting pool records in the 200 Breast and 200 Free. Claire Curzan set records in the 100 and 200 Fly. Katie Grimes set records in the 500 and 1000 Free. Sara Curtis set the 50 Free mark while Anna Moesch set the standard in the 100 Free. The Cavaliers also set records in the 200 Medley Relay (1:32.67) and the 400 Free Relay (3:07.62).

The Virginia men fell to NC State, 172.5-89.5.

🔼 Taken Down. Virginia wrestling welcomed Stanford to the Aquatics & Fitness Center on Saturday, falling to the No. 24 Cardinal, 31-9.

Nick Hamilton (174 pounds) and Brenan Morgan (heavyweight) earned victories for the Hoos.

🔼 In The Rafters. Virginia men’s basketball alum Anthony Gill recently had his high school jersey retired!

🔼 Stacking Titles. Former Virginia men’s tennis alum Chris Rodesch won his second career ATP Challenger singles title last week in Oeiras!
