🔼 Building Block. Virginia men’s hoops struggled to find reasons to smile through its first seven ACC games this season.

Tuesday, however, was different — the Hoos never trailed in their 74-56 win over Boston College and gives them momentum as they head into a more forgiving stretch of their schedule.

🔼 Thursday Tipoff. Virginia women’s basketball plays its second ranked opponent in a row today, welcoming No. 18 Georgia Tech to John Paul Jones Arena at 7 p.m.

The Yellow Jackets raced out to a 15-0 start to their season, but have lost three of their last four games heading into tonight’s contest with the Hoos.

A total of six Virginia men’s lacrosse players have been named Preseason All-Americans by USA Lacrosse this week — Noah Chizmar, McCabe Millon, Griffin Schutz and Ben Wayer were named to the second team, while Johnny Hackett and John Schroter were tabbed to the honorable mention list.

🔼 Terrific Trio. Three Virginia women’s lacrosse standouts were also named Preseason All-Americans by USA Lacrosse on Wednesday — Kate Galica was named to the third team, while Madison Alaimo and Jenna DiNardo were given honorable mention nods.
